Budapest, November 21 (MTI) - The Hungarian boxer Zsolt Erdei beat (megverte) the Kenyan Samson Onyango in a match in Atlantic City on Saturday night.
Erdei won the eight-round (8 menetes) match in a unanimous (egyhangú) decision (79-73, 80-72, 80-72), making efficient use of (hatékonyan használta) his left cross (balegyenesét).
The 36-year-old Erdei, known as "Bird" to his Hungarian fans, took (megszerezte) the World Boxing Council cruiserweight (cirkálósúly) title (cím) after beating the Italian Giacobbe Fragomeni in a match last November. He held (megőrizte) the WBO light-heavyweight (félnehézsúly) title for almost six years before that.
