Nyilván sokan tudjátok, hogy a karácsonyi ünnepkör vízkereszttel zárul, amit január 6-án ünnepelünk. Ehhez kapcsolódó hagyomány nálunk a víz- és házszentelés. Utobbi során a megszentelt ház falára felkerül a betlehemi bölcsek kezdőbetűinek neve.Ez a nap egyúttal egy új időszak, a farsang (carnival) kezdete, amely egészen hamvazószerdáig (Ash Wednesday) tart, illetve az azt megelőző húshagyókedd (Shrove Tuesday / Mardi Gras / Pancake Day) zárja.
De most vissza a mai naphoz, a vízkereszthez, mely angolul Epiphany, vagy ismertebb nevén Twelfth Night.

Twelfth Night, or What You Will is a comedy by William Shakespeare, named after the Twelfth Night holiday of the Christmas season. Like so many of Shakespeare's comedies, this one centers on mistaken identity.
